Only a few days left to go so I’m using this as a chance to clear my head, get focused, and be prepared for the race. It’s hard to believe that a little over a year has passed since Timberman 2013. The first part of this season was spent focusing on some shorter races with the hope of fine tuning form and building some strength throughout the process.
I was in the pool today for a great swim session and have been pleased to see the difference with a few tweaks to the stroke. This past Saturday, I got out for my last brick before the 70.3 World Championships and was pleased with the workout. I found myself floating along during the run and nailing my pace for 7 miles. Now the trick is to just do it for another 6.1 miles on Sunday.
That’s it for now. Body is feeling good, mind is all set, and I’m ready to go. I’ll be heading up soon and looking forward to a weekend in Mont Tremblant. Time to race!
